Peace Bazaar- Donate Stuff to Joan Nelshoppen at (344-7942) (no war toys, computers or bulky junky) or drop it off at place of sale(Community United Church of Christ on 6th Street from December 3-5). They still need volunteers or just come from 9-3 on Saturday December 6th to shop. Baked Goods, Unicef cards, gifts(new and recycled) and works by local artists. Call for details. Addendum from Joan Nelshoppen: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- correction regarding the Peace Bazaar: We DO accept furniture for donation and sell quite a bit of it. I usually ask that people donating furniture get ahold of me first since furniture is often large and hard to move. This cuts down on the really junky stuff and saves volunteers a lot of energy if we refuse the unsaleable items. This year I know we'll have a couple nice office desks, some retro chairs for sale - more still coming in. We have a couple children's desks too. In the past we've had virtually every type furniture, sometimes we get antiques. My address for donation drop-off is 412 W Oregon St, Urbana. At this point, drop-off at the church is better if you are able to do so. Hours when the church will be open for donations: 9-4 daily except Friday (9-12)and also Wed, Thurs and Friday evenings 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Call if you have any questions: 344-7942 Thanks! Peace, Joan ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Farmer's Market-Indoors now at Lincoln Square mall and non profit community organizations like AWARE have been excluded.
